When typing nubers and equations in word 2003 how do you type the square
root numbers or numbers to the power of.
Any help would be welcome.

Hi Richard,

For powers, you typically hold down the shift key and press the 6 at the top
of the keyboard to get the caret symbol (^). Then enter the power number,
which you may want to superscript. For roots, it's probably easiest to
express them as reciprocal or decimal powers. Alternatively, you can use the
Equation Editor or an Equation field (the latter via Insert|Field).
