Numeric Column Notation in EXCEL 2007

My EXCEL 2007 has switched to Numeric column notation and I can't switch find
how to switch it back to Alphameric. As it sits, cell designations must be
written R1C1, R1C2 etc. rather than A1,B1 etc. HELP. I know this sounds
simple but EXCEL 2007 is substantially different from earlier versions:
There is no "tools" There is no "default." I need help to set it back.

Click the Office button (top left corner), choose Excel Options, Formula tab. There it is.

Click the Office button and then the Excel Options button at the foot of the
dialog.

From the Excel Options dialog select Formulas, and then the R1C1 reference
style checkbox is in the Working with formulas section.

Thanks: I knew it had to be simple but there are so many new menus that
unless you know where to look it is like finding a needle. Still can't
figure out what switched it to numeric notation. Thanks again.

I always find this somewhat of a mystery. There are just too many posts about this happening to believe that one did this by
accident.

I think.

Well..... I don't know!
