Numeric Overflow Error When Importing A Text File To SQL Server

I have an Access database that was just converted from
Access 97 to Access 2000. In Office 97, I was importing a
Text file using a file specification. I was telling it to
import to an existing table which is in a SQL Server 2000
database. All worked fine until I converted the Access
database from 97 to 2000. Now when I try to import, I get
this error message: "Numeric field overflow". I tried the
application on a workstation that still has Office 97 and
the data imported and inserted to the SQL Server table
correctly.

Could someone please help me.
