I am sorry but I don't know what a .ocx file is. I have
used a lot of buttons which i created using the button
wizard, as I don't know what is exactly happening when
you use wizards I am now in the process of creating
macros and then will attach my macro to the button. But I
don't really know if this will help at all.

Hi,
OCX's are ActiveX controls. The Calendar control, for example.
However that's not it 'cause you're obviously not using any!

Does the error happen as soon as you double click on your db?
Are the file associations correct for the .mdb extension on the problem PC?
To check this, open windows explorer, go to:
Tools->Folder Options
Then click on the File Types tab.
scroll down to the mdb extension and make sure it's set to open with Access.

That's a bit of a long shot because if they were messed up, you'd get an error
when you tried to open any mdb file.

Does the database open at all?

1. No I am not using ActiveX controls

2. the message appears when I open the dtabase on
the "other computer" (I have tried it on several and all
are the same.) YES the database does open.

3. You have given me a clue, because the file
associations are not correct, I have a named combo box on
a form and the code opens with bits highlighted in yellow
I will check that out.

Thank you.
