-> O2007: where is the manual? Any documentation? <-

Steve JORDI

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to locate my Outlook 2007 documentation.
But it seems that I can't find it.

I'm talking about a User's Guide (a real manual) NOT the help file.
Something I can print like a book.

Also, please, in PDF or anything that I can open. I don't have Word
and I don't want to install any Microsoft viewers.

Thanks for any help.

Sincerely,
Steve JORDI

Borders, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or any decent bookstore will have guides
you can buy.

But besides extra dollars for a product that is already $120,
no included documentation?
Freewares and $19.95 sharewares do have documentation.

Amazing

Sure there is, press F1.

I asked for serious documentation that can be printed.
A user's manual. Not a help file.

I don't seem to recall that facility with ANY software......

You can print the help file if you really want to. Or you could buy a
book. Since almost nobody actually READS the documentation virtually no
vendors waste time, money or trees printing it anymore.

Of course the help file and the gigabytes of information available
online can be more readily searched than a printed manual as well.

Did you have a specific question or were you just looking for something
to browse?

Just browsing to learn about the functionalities, etc.
Definitely not convenient in a help file.
I would have at least hoped for a PDF document to be read
on screen or (partially) printed.

As far as I can tell, there is no user guide for any Microsoft product.
Microsoft relies upon others to write the user guides. Hence the existence
of Microsoft Press. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/books/default.mspx

Well trhats' the problem...
Considering $120 for an email client (ok, it *can* do some other
things) I was forced to buy to be able to sync it with my PDA (even
though eventually it doesn't sync, ActiveSync being a total disaster),
I think it's hard to swallow that I need to spend another $40 for a
user's guide.

Should it be a professional product, I wouldn't complain, because I
would have a return on investment, but in this case, I really feel it
like a total rip off.

Sincerely,
