O2K hangs on exit

Exchange 5.5 SP4 on NT 4 SP6a. All but three clients are
O2K on Win 98, 2000 or XP Pro. Three clients have
installed and are using O2K3 on various Windows platforms.
Once a users mailbox is accessed using Outlook 2003, then
that user accesses their mailbox on another machine using
Outlook 2000, Outlook 2000 will not close but hangs at
the "Please wait while Microsoft Outlook exits" screen. It
will hang indefinitely with task manager showing Outlook
as running. Only way to close it is to end task multiple
times. MS KB #818709 references a fourth
PR_FREEBUSY_ENTRYIDS when using O2K3 and I suspect it's
related but cannot find any info pertaining to this
problem.
The hot fix from the above mentioned article has been
installed. I've deleted and rebuilt profiles etc. etc..
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I'm bleeding
from the ears on this one. Thanks.

Hey.. just wondering if you found any solutions to this?

I'm having the same exact problem.
