In the past I have never had trouble updating Office installation points on
my file server.
I would simply run the Windows Installer from the command line with the
correct switches, the path to the .msp and to the .msi.
I have attempted to do the same with SP1 for Office 2003, following the
instructions from
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2003/five/ch18/mnta01.htm
However, I get the following message after the installation begins -
"a valid product key must be set to create an admin image".
I created the network installation point from a valid volume license media
(Office Pro, Enterprise version) from the organization that I work for and I
successfully distributed Office from it to clients using Group Policy (I also
used the Office Resource Kit to create .mst files for customization).
Is this happening to anyone else? What would cause this?
Thanks for any help you may have.
