O2K3 Standard -vs- Pro SP1

CelesteNorm

I have and administrative installation (O2K3) point. I have sucessfuly
applied the update to PRO11.MSI

I used the command below (wich is essentialy the same command for PRO11) to
update STD11

msiexec /a Z:\Office2003Standard\STD11.MSI /q /p
Z:\AdminUpdate\Office2003SP1\MAINSP1ff.msp /l Z:\Update.log

But then it bombs out on me, leaving me this message in the log:

MSI (s) (84:D0) [11:17:38:694]: Final Patch Application Order:
MSI (s) (84:D0) [11:17:38:694]: Other Patches:

2003 - Update '{291832CE-338E-4F0C-9950-23BD77894741}' could not be
installed. Error code 1642. Additional information is available in the log
file Z:\Update.log.

MSI (s) (84:D0) [11:17:38:704]: Product: Microsoft Office Standard Edition
2003 -- Installation failed.

The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may
update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be
upgraded exists on your computer an
d that you have the correct upgrade patch.
Z:\Office2003Standard\STD11.MSI

Is there a different update that I should use for Office 2003 Standard? I am
using the same one I updated Pro with.

Thanks,

Norm

For the benefit of everyone. I did finally figure this out. After many
unsuccessful attempts I discovered that the MSI file that I was trying to
update had become corrupted. I reinstalled the AIP via the SETUP.EXE /a
STD11.MSI command. And then reran my batch file. Updated without a hitch.
