o2ksr1a.exe not a valid Win32 application...error

I am trying to update Office 2000 Professional on a
laptop running XP Home Edition and i received this error.
How do I update this software??? Can anyone assist me???

Hi, Remi. If you run o2ksr1a.exe at the Start>Run prompt, the file should decompress a number of files to a directory named Temp\SR1Patch. From there, setup.exe is supposed to run automatically to install SR-1a. If the o2ksr1a.exe file will not decompress, try downloading it again.
