Object anchors

I have a table in Word 2002 that whern I draw a revision bar in the right page margin the anchor for the rev. bar shifts the data in the cells within the table

the anchor for the rev. bar shifts the data in the cells within the table"Draw a revision bar"? As in using the Drawing tools? And the cells are losing the
vertical alignment, I take it?

As soon as you anchor an object in a table, the vertical cell alignment is turned off.
You'd need to drag the anchor out of the table (and lock it out there).
