object corrupt

We have a document on our network that has many tables in it. Every
once in a while, a user will go to edit one of the tables and they
will be unable, as "the object is corrupt or no longer available."
Just on one of the tables, and it's randomly different ones. I KNOW
about the Norton problem. We are running Word 2003 SP 1, and while we
do have Symantec AV CE, we do not run to Office AV, and regardless,
even when it is disabled the error continues to appear. Any help?
