Hi all,
I've got an application (sdOffice) that starts an instance of Word in
the background and sends commands to it to open a document, then do a
mail merge, then print the doc...
It's an old machine with Win 2k, Word 2K SR-1. Because of its age,
we're trying to virtualize it.
The virtualized gets an error that the non-virtualized does not.
The error ONLY happens when the command 'opendoc' is sent to Word, AND
it only happens when the document that is to be opened is found. i.e.
if the document is not there - no error.
The error msg reads:
Run-time error ‘-2147417848 (80010108)’
Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.
I've looked in Google Groups and Google - and there are lots of
entries on this, but I have not found one for my scenario. I've tried
a few of the proposed solutions, but nothing thus far.
(We are in the process of upgrading our 500 users off of this old
software, but it is one person at a time and we could use a solution
for the old in the meantime.)
Thanks for the help!
