Object is closed or doesn't exist - importing excel to access xp

Hi,

We regularly transfer data from XP spreadsheets into tables in Access
XP.
I created 2 new tables using the import wizard - no problems.

I then tried to import the data - inputted into the same spreadsheet &
saved - into the database - into the new tables. But I keep getting
the error message: 'The expression you entered refers to an object
that is closed or doesn't exist'. Other sheets (setup previously) are
importing with no problems.

I have tried using an older copy of the database as well as on another
PC with no joy - same message.

Any advice is greatly welcomed.
