Object is invalid or no longer set. (Error 3420)

When I open three forms in Access XP and return to them,
I receive the above error message. Before the error
message appears, two things happen. First my calculated
field displays #error when I close the form and return to
the second form.
Second, I open and close the form again and all the
fields display #Name? then the Object is invalid error
message appears. Then I have to close and open the form
to reset the values. The only action taken is opening and
closing form. Is this a bug in Access XP?
