I have Windows 2000 and Office 2000 profesional. I can't
copy text or move icons. The clipboard operation doesn't
seem to be working and my computer says that the RPC Server
is Unavailable. I searched the Microsoft website and found
a reference to my problem with a possible fix that is 3
years old and doesn't work for me (KB224707). Tech support
refused to help because they say that I have trial version.

Trial versions lose functionality after they have expired, so that you
upgrade to a proper retail version. Since Office 2000 and Office XP have
come and gone in that time, it might be time to actually pay for a new copy
of Office 2003.
