I link a PP presentation (Announcements.pptx) to be shown at the end of a PP
presentation. I do this by inserting an Object (use file / link to file).
On a weekly basis I change the linked presentation (Announcements.pptx). I
change the second presentation too, keeping the final slide so I don't have
to place the link every time.
I place both presentation in the same directory, overwriting the old
Announcements.pptx (I don't keep a copy of it anywhere).
When I show the first presentation, and it comes to the last slide, it shows
last week's Announcements.pptx, which is not to be found anywhere on the Hard
Drive. If I insert the Announcements.pptx all over again, everyting works
fine.
However, if I change anything in Announcements.pptx, the first presentation
does not show the changed version, but the unchanged version, which is
nowhere to be found on the Hard Drive.
What in the world is going on here?
This used to work fine in 2003.
