Object moves when selected

I am using Office XP on a Vista laptop. Whenever selecting an object in
PowerPoint it moves slightly! This drives me crazy as I have many objects
that must be in exactly that position to provide correct results.

Also, I found when running PPT XP slides in Office 2007 the objects are
always off a little bit. This is obvious where I am putting tracing objects
on top of a figure.

I hope that these slight glitches can be patched.
