object on master slide not showing on all slides

I'm confused, are you trying to omit objects from slides purposely, or trying
to figure out why objects are not showing?

What version of PPT are you using? Are you on a Mac or PC?

i checked under format/background - omit is not checked.

Is the object covered up by something else? Is it a title slide, and you
have a separate title master? Are you using 2007 in which case you could be
setting up "sub-masters" for each different layout so any different layout
could be different from the master for another layout? Do you have more than
one master, and this slide is associated with the other master?

What objects are you talking about?

If it's one of the text placeholders, check under 'View-Header and Footer'
to make sure that the item (Date and Time/Slide Number/etc.) is checked for
that slide. Also look at the checkbox at the bottom which says 'Don't show on
title slide'.

If it's something else, please elaborate.

it is not header/footer - it is an object that i placed on the master slide.
it is not being covered up.
not a title slide
not 2007 but 2003
only one master

I don't have any idea. Can you post a sample online and post the URL here?
Maybe someone can look at it and figure out what the problem is.
