Object Text dissapears when selected

When I double click an object, its text is selected. The selection
highlight shows, however the text itself is invisible. If I click
within the selection, the cursor goes to the point in the selection
where I clicked, the selection dissapears, but the text remains
invisible. When I type in a new letter, or change to another
application and back to Visio the text reappears.

I'm running Visio 2002 SP on Win XP Pro SP2.

Shortly after I posted, I did some additional debugging. The problem
with the dissapearing text only shows up when the "Clear Type text
display" or the "Higher quality text display" options are selected in
Options->View.

When "Faster text display" is selected there isn't any problem. the
"greek text under" setting does not have an effect on this behavior.

I have XP using ClearType for its general display. Whether I use the
general ClearType setting or not does not appear to affect Visio's odd
behavior.

this is clearly a bug and working with the faster text is not very enjoyable.
hope there will be a fix soon.
