Objects not visible in Visio, appears when you click on them

Hi!
I'm using VISIO 2000, SP2 (6.1.4530) on my company LapTop [IBM Thinkpad T40,
1.5 GHz, 512 MB, Windows 2000, SP 3. Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 7500].

I have a BIG problem when I draw system configuration drawings, containing a
lot of symbols/shapes (servers, printers, lines, ..) & textboxes: The
problem is that some objects & texts simply does not show up on the drawing:
But when I click in the drawing where 'I know' they should be, they come up
as visible! Then if I minimize the window and bring it up again, they are
gone - I need to start clicking again in order to see them.
This is very annoying, as the objects are also invisible when I print the
drawing or when I import it to MS Word.

I showed this to the Company Help Desk: they re-installed MS VISIO, but this
had no effect, then they said that they could not help me and closed the
case....
And here I am now - Help!

Hi! Thank's for responding!
Yes - that was my first thought also (and Help desk):
If I check the dialog box for "Layer Properties", all layers in the box
[Connector, Cray, IBM, Network] are set as Visible, Print, Active, Snap,
Glue, Color.

I wounder if I have too many objects/Layers in the drawing.... The number of
Network objects, item # in the Layer properties, are 1048. The other types
are #=957 [Connector, Cray, IBM].

Any suggestions?

Rgds,

/Mats
