OCR from Visual Basic

We write software which scans our documents into multipage TIFFs and then we
use the Office XP image viewing software for viewing these files. From
within the software we are able to OCR the scanned file into a Word file, but
we need to be able to do this programatically so that we can utilize Indexing
Services for text searches across all scanned files. Does anyone know how to
programatically OCR a document using what is available with Office XP? Do
we need to purchase another version of the imaging software to get this done?
