OCR problems with MS Tools

I have a Canon scanner.

I've been able to OCR with MS Tools but recently it won't work.

I get to the point where I click All Pages, then Send to Word but at
that point it says there's an error and prompts me if I've installed
Word correctly.

It never used to do that when I've OCR'd before using MS Tools.

I've scanned for malware and there's nothing.

I'm on XP Pro.

I don't have a multi-page scanner.

Is there something else I can check with MS Tools?
