ODBC Call Failed error when linking to an Oracle DB

We have an MS Access 2000 Application that uses the Oracle8 ODBC Drive to
connect to an Oracle Database to extract data and create reports. Half of
the time we get this error:

ODBC Call Failed
[Oracle][ODBC][ORA]ORA-01013:user requested cancel of current operation.

Is there a timout setting in the ODBC drive that we can tweak or a setting
in Access so that we can ger better results communicaiting with this Oracle
database? Thank you!
