ODBC call Failed

I have an Access 2000 database which links into a SQL 7.0 database on a
Windows 2003 server. The application has run fine for a year. Recently I have
seen a large increase in ODBC call failed errors.
The error repeats in Access 2003 and Windows XP service pack 2.
I have update my ODBC driver and service packs for Office, but that have not
solved my problem.
What can I do?
