ODBC Connection Failed

I cannot get =oOne of several PC's with Access 2003 installed to retrieve
external data "mySQL3.51 - ODBC connection failed". The software on this
PC is identical to others that have no problem. Tripled checked the Data Set
Name with no luck. The ODBC connection tests successful by itself, however
Access cannot find the DSN for the external data. MDAC is ver 2.7 SP1 for
all PC's.

I cannot figure out what is wrong with this one machine. Any suggestions?

Check to make sure that the linked tables are linked correctly.
You can bypass the startup controls of the database by holding down the
shift key. Once open check to make sure that all tables are linked properly
"Tools | Database Utilities | Link Table Manager.
If all is well, I would remove the current DSN on the machine that won't
connect and create it again.
If that does not work, ensure that the computer has connectivity with other
areas of the network, as it could be a bad network card or CAT5 cable.

I believe I have done all of these-
1) This same .mdb file installs and links up just fime on 4 other PC's in
the same organization, so I do not think that re-linking of the tables makes
sense.

2) The ODBC connection tests OK everytime I do it from Windows Admin Tools,
so we are able to reach out and touch the DB with no problem. This would not
be possible w/o good connection

3) Have deleted then recreated the DSN numerous times to ensure that it has
been created correctly.

Access has been removed and reinstalled 2 times with no effect. Could there
be a bad file in Windows or maybe something else we are overlooking?
