ODBC Connection

I have 6 linked tables in an Access mdb file looking at 6
views in an Access adp, Recently When trying to open the
link tables in the Access mdb file I get an error message
saying the the ODBC connection has been lost.

If I then go to the linked table manager, I can
successfully refresh the link. Is there some way of
refreshing the link using VBA code, or just any
explanation as to why this happens?
