ODBC Driver Manager Error

S

Shirley

I have an Access database that is located on our server.
There is a person who wants to run a template from Excel
with a query pulling this information in Access. I can
run the template fine, however, the other person receives
an error that says:

Microsoft ODBC Driver Manager Data source name not found
and no default driver specified.

None of us have an ODBC driver set up to this database, so
I wouldn't think she would need one either. I installed
Mdac.exe version 2.1 (I'm afraid to install higher because
I don't know what it will do), but I have 2.1 and it works
on mine. I've read that this is a common problem, but
besides installing Mdac.exe no one has had any other
suggestions.

Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Thanks,
Shirley
