I have a new Dell PC and now I cannot connect to a UNIX
database I was able to connect to previously. I was using
MS Access 2002 and linking to tables on our production
financial database with my old machine. I would go to get
external data, link, then choose odbc, and use a dsn
which was configured using MS ODBC driver for Oracle
2.575.1117.00. I have that same driver on my new machine
and same dsn - I also have a fixed ip. The only thing
different I see is the oracle client on my new machine is
slightly later version than the old machine was. I can
hook my old computer up and I can still link to those
tables but when I go back to the new pc- I get the error
ODBC---call failed. ORA-12537:TNS:connection closed.
