ODBC errors

while installing MS office 2003 i get the following
errors:
Error 1919 - error configuring ODBC data source: MS
Access Database, ODBC Error 6 - Component not found in
registry. Verify that the file MS Access databaseexists
and that you can access it.

how do i correct this?

please email me if you can.

Hello Almostsane1,

I found issues where uninstalling Word Perfect can cause this error. Word
Prefect's uninstall application removes some of the OBDC components. There
are two ways that resolve this issue in most cases. The first is to
download and install MDAC ver 2.8 to the system and then install Office.
The second which will work around the issue is to click Ignore to the 5
errors that will pop up during the installation. This should allow for a
successful installation.
