I have an Access front end connecting to SQL for the data. I have made my
ODBC connections for each machine through File DSN and they all work except
one. I have one machine that came with Windows Vista and has been converted
back to XP like all the others.
On this machine when I open the ODBC Administrator, I select SQL and type in
my name for the dsn, and no matter what name I type in, I get an error that
says "the filename entered is invalid" and my only choice is "OK".
Can anybody help me with what it wants for a filename? I have simply used
"fea" for all the others, but that won't work here. I've tried adding
letters to get it up to seven characters, but it still gives me the same
error message.
Thanks for any advice!!
