ODBC?? getting data from database (nothing to do with the web)

ok i have asked this question befor but didnt get the answer i was
looking for but after some research im going to ask it again.

I want to havea database that many peole can access but opening up
Access and getting the data from a server adding or what ever, then
saving to the server, so the next user can then see it. I want it
totally thogh access so its nothing with the web, SQL or .ASP or
anything like that, jsut an access database. I think it has something to
do with ODBC and on my 98 machine i have something in my control pannel
about access drivers or something, but i cant seam to work it all out,
Any help or links would be great,
