ODBC/Infopath Bug? Can't insert fields > 31 chars

Vince Moore

I've set up an InfoPath for to connect to a remote SQL Server database. It
works fine for querying, but when I attempt to insert or update a record
where any text field has more than 31 characters I get an 0x80004005 error

(full text: InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
[0x80004005][Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server] [DBNMPNTW]Invalid
connection.)

Ant then my connection appears to be lost -- no furhter queries or submits
work.

I had already installed service pack 1 prior to developing the form.

Thanks,

Hi,

There are some bugs when you submit directly to the database.

I will give you an advice use Webservice that work fine for populate
your databaseand you don't need to expose your database.

But for your error sorry I have no idea.
