ODBC link to PostgreSQL

I linked my MS Access front-end to a databse on the Postgre SQL, via ODBC
driver.
It works OK, except vera often the connection crashes and linked tables
display no values, but "#deleted". Sometimes a message "ODBC call failed is
dislayed.
What could be a reason ?
