ODBC link with Access won't return list of tables...

I'm attempting to establish an ODBC link with Access to
import data from an existing query over the network.
However, the wizard returns the error message that it
can't list the database tables/queries. Placing a copy of
the database on my local machine works fine with the
link. Any suggestions?
