[ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many client tasks ?

I am using Office 2003. Am using Excel to format reports on data imported
from an Access database. When I run Refresh All from the tool bar I get the
error message "[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many client
tasks, after clicking Ok on this window I get another saying
"[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Drivers SQLSetConnectAttr failed", then the
Connection Window opens but won't accept connection to any of the existing
sources.
There are 67 queries, some with filters with a list of upto 10 OR criteria (
and 1 AND) .
As usual Microsoft searches bring no response, can any one give me a clue
what this is about.
