ODBC need driver to connect to Access from Excel on a Mac

Hi:
I'm trying to understand the ADO objects in Excel VBA. I understand the
object model and that the connection is an object.

Specifically I want to connect to an Access database. I have Excel on a
Mac. Is that possible? I have a home network and my room mate has a PC
with Access on it.

In my understanding of the following instructions it should work if I have
an ODBC driver for Access on my computer? Or do I need a SQL driver?

You'd definitely require the Jet driver, and to be honest I'm not sure
whether they're available for Macs.
