environment:
Windows XP Pro on Dell Latitude D600
Access 2003
iSeries Access for Windows running on AS400
Whenever I download a QRY400-created file that contains a field generated using the "define result fields" feature the field comes across as garbage.
When defining the ODBC I checked the convert "CCSID 65535" button under translation on the define ODBC which fixed the problem under previous Windows & Office versions.
Excel 2003 imports the file correctly.
File transfer utility under the ISeries Access for Windows converts the file correctly when convert CCSID 65535 is specified (although I don't think it uses ODBC).
Any suggestions appreciated.
