I never noticed this before, but deleting and recreating linked tables
to a SQL Server, ODBC data source, bloats my Access XP MDB file.
Now, there are 177 linked tables, but here's what's weird:
If I create a new shell and import the links from another mdb,
the size is 4 mb less than when I drop and create the links.
Compacting the database doesn't remove this space. What exactly is
being saved in an MDB file that takes 4 mb to define 177 links?
Anyone know?
