ODBS error when trying to open project!!

Hi,
The project server was working fine last week, but now i cant open a
single project from project professional 2003, i get the following error
message:

Connection failed:
SQLState:'01000'
SQL Server Error: 53
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen(Connect()).
Connection Failed:
SQLState:'08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist
or access denied.

The problem is it does exist, and no access rules have been modified,
but now one of the projects disappeared, and the rest cant be opened in
the project professional 2003.
please help.

Try to use EditSite tool, provided by Microsoft to check all settings.
May be some parameters are wrong.

Are there errors on the server? Application event log?
