odd - even pages

Hello

I have been sent a 8 1/2" X 11" document in word in
sections to put together as a training manual.

All they want are 10 in house manuals for a 3-day course.

They want it doubled sided. The format here (Portugal) is
A4. The teacher is coming from the USA.

OUESTIONS

How do I make it A4? Simply in page setup?

How can I set the pages to be different for odd-even so
they are balanced for the margins where the holes for the
binders will go?

Hi,

use file/page setup/mirror margins to get mirrored margins. Concerning
the transformation to A4, I would try file/page setup/paper size, but I
have no experience in this conversion.

You can also use the gutter setting to add space on the inside of the page
(when using Mirror Margins).

works smoothly. Whether the resulting document paginates reasonably is
subject to good document design (i.e. no empty paragraphs, no
unneccessary page breaks, etc.).
