Hello group,
I just starting having something odd happen when downloading MS Office 2000
files (namely Excel and Powerpoint) from my IIS FTP site. Specifically, when
I log-in and browse to the FTP directory via IE 6, I double-click on the file
and recieve the prompt to either Open or Save the file. If I select Save,
the file is saved properly and all is fine. However, if I select Open, I
recieve an error from Powerpoint or Excel stating that the file could not be
opened because it could not be found, then the file proceeds to open within
the IE browser.
I (and my users) need to be able to open the file in the respective program
so my question is whether this is a configuration issue in Office and if so
how to correct it, or whether there is something else at fault here.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
