Odd Page Break

Mike Boardman

I have used this after a Contents page (using the Word contents field).

It worked all right until I changed the page numbering from the {Pages}
field to {SectionPages}. Now the blank page previously inserted by the Odd
Page Break code isn't there, although the Reveal Formatting still shows that
the Odd Page Break is still there!

Is this another Word "feature", or am I being thick and/or ignorant?

Any advice gratefully received.

I suspect this is because when you changed to {Section pages} you changed
the page number of the page after the break to 1. Word thinks that's an odd
number.

If you still want the blank page so that the first page after the break is a
'right-hand' page, you need to set either the 'mirror margins' or the
'different odd and even' page layout options. The Word then thinks you will
be printing double-sided, and will interpret 'odd' page as 'right', whatever
the actual page number.

Thanks Margaret

That actually sounds familiar - I'll try it when I get back to the office.
