A user received a message with color text which can¹t be printed. It¹s just
a text message, with colored text throughout, but the printing is odd.
When she selects ³Print...² the print dialog shows up, but it¹s not the
normal expanded print dialog: No Quick Preview, no header with message info,
just copies and page range. When I hit ²Preview...², the email shows up in
black and white, and won¹t print in color.
She can print other messages in color, and she can see the regular print
dialog with Quick preview etc, just not for emails from this particular
sender.
I looked at the source of the email, it was in MIME format with ³=20² for
spaces etc and some odd email headers. The email itself quotes some Eastern
European text, so it is most likely some encoding issue. (And yes, the email
is for translations of our text into those Eastern European languages, it¹s
definitely not image spam or anything like that.)
If I take the problem message and forward it, or just copy all text to
another email, then I can preview and print in color.
What would cause the short print dialog to show up, and why can¹t Entourage
print a message in color even though Entourage displays the correct color in
the email itself?
Anyone else see this problem? It only happens with one particular sender.
Thanks
