A coworker asked for my help (I'm the departmntal programmer) printing a
large Word doc (about 2.6 mb). He said it would hang after about 12 of 70
pages. I didnl;t think much of it until it started to abuse my computer.
Generally the issue looks like a printer driver error - when the print job
failed I'd sometimes get a page or two of gibberish, sometimes a page saying
ERROR: syntaxerror
OFFENDING COMMAND: $ % # ' ! ) !"
STACK:
Note-the "OFFENDING COMMAND" details had more spaces in it, and sometimes
I'd get garbage like that in the STACK details.
I've never had a problem printing at this job, and I've printed other
similar sized documents (with some intense screen shots and such) with no
issues. We use XP (SP-1) and Office 2003.
Any ideas on what I can look for in the document would be helpful, as I
don't think this is a hardware/driver issue. It seems to be in the document,
but I could be wrong.
TIA
