Odd Problems with recurring appointments

Hello,

I hope someone out there might be able to help with this problem. We are
using Outlook 2000 and the problem seems to occur when a delegate creates a
recurring appointment in her boss's calendar. The delegate (let's call her
Jane) opens her boss's (call him Bob) calendar and creates a recurring
appointment for Bob and another person (Sally). After she creates the
appointment, Bob is listed as the meeting organizer and Sally is an invited
attendee. Once Sally accepts the meeting, the appointment acceptance
response is sent to Bob's inbox. A few weeks later Jane needs edit one of
the appointments in the series. Here are several issues that happen: 1) When
Jane opens the appointment from Bob's calendar, she clicks on the Attendee
Availability tab and notices that Sally is no longer listed as an attendee
and Jane is now listed as the meeting organizer...no Bob to be seen. 2) Even
though the meeting is still on Bob's calendar when a busy search is
performed or when Jane looks at the attendee availability on his calendar,
the time of the meeting is listed as free, however the appointment does show
up correctly for Sally that is, the meeting time is not listed as free on
Sally's busy search or attendee status. 3) Jane updates the appointment but
Sally does not get the update, because she is no longer listed as an
attendee. In other situations Sally will get the update but the acceptance
is sent to Jane and not Bob. Another thing is that if i run the freebusy
switch on Bob's caledar I et an error message.

Jane never had these issues in the past and she just recently started having
weird issues with Outlook in October. The only thing that changed on the
user's PC is applying windows 2k service pack 4 and other recent security
updates.
