Hi Everyone,
I am running Word 2000 as part of the Office Suite on a WinXP system.
All works well except under one odd circumstance. If I get a Word email
attachment and open it, Word opens and shows the document. But when I do a
Save As, Word closes down. When I open again, it has held the document as a
backup that I can then work from and the Save As works the second time.
However, if I hit the Save first, rather than the Save As, it will then
permit me to do a Save As without closing down.
I have seen this behavior a few times when I start a New Document as well.
So I am not sure what is going on.
Does anyone have an idea about what is happening and how I might fix it?
