ODMA - with Word 2002 and IBM Content Management

Problem Description: We are using IBM's content management software v.8.2 and everytime we go into WORD 2002 and create & save a document off, it works fine the first time, but it will NOT let us create a second document and save it. It does NOT give us the option to even create file:new. We are having to completely sign out of WORD and then back in before we can create and save a second document.

Does anyone know about this kind of problem?
We installed Service Pack #3 thinking this would resolve the problem, but it did NOT!

What is interesting is that this system works fine in WordPerfect (?)!! So I think the ODMA link is working fine (?) so that leaves a possible problem within Word 2002.

Any help would be appreciated !!

Hi Karma,

Unfortunately, how a third-party utility function is up to the third-party that created the utility.

IBM is responsible for how their content management software is integrated since their programmers are the ones who wrote the code to automate Word from their utility.

This would be a Word issue if all Word automation did not work properly however this isn't the case.
