OE 6 receive a Relay Error

I recently purchased a new computer (dec) with xp home and oe6. sometime around x-mas i began receiving a relay error message, which referenced a comcast.net address. (i don't have comcast other than for my cable tv.) anyway, i have gone through the registry and have found comcast associated with my DhhpSMTP classes. I suspect a trojan or spyware but have been unsuccessful in finding it. additionally, everytime i substitute comcast.net with my correct pop3 & smtp server information it reverts back to comcast. i am at a loss. furthermore, i have no problems sending emails accounts on my correct domain.
