I changed the configuration of my DSL hardware from "modem" to "router"
so that I now have a connection which is connected all the time (even
before I boot XP) and now I can't send/receive email with OE. With the
hardware configurated as a modem, I could send email: a connect box
would come, I would click "connect", and off the mail would go. Now
nothing happens when I click send. If I try to force to send ("send
immediately"), a connection window comes up as before, but clicking
"connect" does nothing (the connection stalls and the mail isn't send).
This must be a configuration problem, but I'm not sure where to change
it. PS: IE ->Options->Connections lists only one connection: "Broadband
connection".
