I recently upgraded from Word 97 to Word 2000 (gotta keep up with the
times), but it has created a problem when I use Word2k, as I am doing now,
to compose a message for posting in OE 6 newsgroups.
If the text wraps in Word then their appears to be no problem, but if the
lines aren't wrapped, for instance short items expressed on consecutive
single-spaced lines, then at least in some instances OE will double space
it. If I intentionally double-space a line, as between paragraphs, then a
quadruple space appears in OE (three blank lines). I don't know if these
appearance glitches only show up on my screen or on all screens. Note that
the text pastes in correctly; the problem occurs after the message is sent.
Since I can't recall this behavior in 97 I'm assuming this is a Word
adjustment and not an OE issue. 2000 is definitely a smoother ride than 97
so I want to keep it, but I would like to fix this if possible. TIA
